The Role:
 
Centacare Family & Relationship Services is seeking to appoint a full time Practitioner to work with the Sunshine Coast Team.
 
Qualified practitioners with experience in family counselling and group facilitation (i.e. parenting, children’s programs etc.), with a well-developed understanding of the impact of Domestic & Family Violence, Child Safety and Family Law would be highly regarded.

Skills and Experience:
  • knowledge and skills in intake, risk assessment and case management
  • experience in counselling families, individuals and young people
  • knowledge and skills in group facilitation in community education and parenting programs
  • demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • knowledge of Domestic Violence Legislation, Child Safety Legislation and the Family Law Act
  • well-developed written work including report writing, case notes, data collection, data entry and computer literacy skills
Essential:
  • relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioral Sciences, from a recognised tertiary institution
  • eligibility for membership of APS, AASW, or similar recognised professional association
  • have a current Blue Card – or be eligible to apply
  • agree (if offered employment), that Centacare can conduct an Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check
  • agree to sign a statutory declaration stating you have no overseas criminal offences
  • have Australian Work Rights – Australian citizenship/Visa documentary evidence is to be provided at interview (please contact us for detail if needed)
Remuneration:
 
This position is a full-time working 38 hours per week. The remuneration package is Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award Level 5.
 
Commencement on Level 5.1 (salary classification pending qualifications and experience) plus 9.50% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading.
