Our Social Media Coordinator is the connection between the Archdiocese of Brisbane and our social media community.  Our Social Media Coordinator has experience engaging a community through social media channels and is a creative, energetic person who is eager to contribute to team successes and collaborate with colleagues.

The purpose of this role is to build engagement and drive business outcomes via the organisation’s social media channels.  The Social Media Coordinator will own the content calendar for our channels and create posts for a range of organisation channels, including the Archdiocese of Brisbane, Centacare Brisbane and Catholic Early EdCare channels.

The role is also responsible for monitoring and reporting on activity to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement as well as engage with service delivery areas to identify opportunities to show the human face of the church in action on our channels.

Duties regularly undertaken on the organisations social media channels include creating and distributing engaging content, implementing paid media placements, community management and using various insight tools to analyse and report on the effectiveness of activity.

In addition to demonstrated expertise in social media, the successful candidate will need to be proactive and show initiative, bring to the team experience with a range of online marketing channels (email marketing, content distribution and re-marketing, etc) and show how they combine these various tactics into a comprehensive marketing plan.  Understanding and experience with content management systems (e.g. WordPress) would also be looked upon favourably.
