Hulk Labour Hire is a specialist workforce solutions company providing skilled labour to the mining industry. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our client base and identify new opportunities both surface and underground in the mining and associated sectors.

You will be the face of the company & responsible for building and maintaining long lasting customer relationships, connecting with key business executives & stakeholders and identifying new business opportunities. You will have a proven track record in achieving KPIs relating to the development of new accounts and will bring with you the right contacts to further this goal. The successful candidate must be willing to be bound by non-disclosure provisions and enter into a confidentiality agreement.

Applicants with a trade background (diesel fitting, mechanical, electrical, or relevant engineering trade) will be highly regarded, however this is not an essential requirement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seek & identify new opportunities and customer needs
  • Research and build relationships with new clients
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Prepare and present proposals for new projects
  • Conduct site & client visits
  • Maintain current client relationships
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
Essential Skills & Experience  
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar business development or Account Management role in the mining or industrial sector
  • Open Cut and Underground Mining Industry exposure (understanding of safety requirements)
  • Highly motivated, reliable, honest and able to work autonomously with a high level of integrity;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills;
  • Sound computer skills - MS applications and CRM systems; and
  • Able to travel regularly.
