Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to communicate and translate innovative solutions to cultivate relationships with potential and existing customers.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, solution-focused Pre-Sales Solution Consultant/Engineer to work with an established professional services team. This role will be responsible for keeping up with the changes in the Shippit Platform, Professional Services offerings, and the Shipping and Logistics landscape. This position is charged with developing a thorough understanding of Shippit’s prospective and existing merchants business and effectively communicating and translating them into solutions to cultivate relationships with potential and existing customers. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive our Sales and Professional Service team’s success by playing a key role in expanding top line revenue and client list. 
  • Establish confidence in recommendations via product expertise, custom product demonstrations, technical phone calls, workflow outlines, RFP responses, product roadmap discussions & business process diagrams
  • Advocate for Professional Services, Sales and Account management.
  • Uncover complex merchant business requirements.
  • Align merchant problems and systems to Shippit solutions
  • Demonstrate long-term, high ROI solutions that address merchant requirements.
  • Develop SOWs with necessary stakeholders. 
Required Experience
    • Experience in technical pre-sales or consulting role.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience performing pre-sales solutions for services, including scoping Statements of Work (SOW) and Enterprise Service Agreements.
    • Prior client-facing presentation experience, including to C-Level executives.
    • Familiarity with system integration methods such as web services and REST APIs.
    • Familiarity with HTML, XML, and structured data.
    • Experience responding to RFPs.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to develop professional presentations (internal and external).
    • Thrive under pressure and able to appropriately prioritize competing tasks.
    • Proven track record of consistent goal attainment.
