About the Role
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the HV Electricians is responsible for assembly of haul truck modules, warranty support, servicing, repairing and replacement of mechanical equipment systems across the mobile heavy-duty haulage fleet on a mine site near Singleton in Hunter Valley, NSW.
After the company being recently awarded the assembly of a new fleet of Electric Drive Mining trucks, this role will evolve as the project progresses and will commence as part of the truck assembly team located in the Mt Thorley Industrial Area, to the site based warranty support team. This offers a unique opportunity to be part of the full life cycle of the new truck fleet.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform the assembly, servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with maintenance systems documentation
  • Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs to a high regard
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
  • Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment and maximise equipment utilization
  • Routine servicing of all equipment both site workshop and field based
  • Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner
  • Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings
  • Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment and JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis) and SWP’s (Safe Work Procedures) where necessary for specific work areas.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Trade qualification
  • High voltage switching ticket (Refresher within the last 2 years)
  • Previous Ultra-Class Electric Drive Haul Truck experience
  • Current drivers’ licence
  • Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Willing to learn from OEM support technicians
  • Demonstrating commitment to safety culture and values
Desirable Criteria
  • LVR/CPR Certificate
  • Experience with Terrex Electric Haul trucks
  • Working at Heights Certification and High-Risk tickets (Dogging/Rigging)
  • Forklift
  • Mine site experience
