We are seeking a creative individual who can focus on continuous improvement to the overall program including pioneering acute health initiatives!

  • Part Time Role - 1 day per week
  • Provide community based Occupational Therapy services
  • Based in the community in the Mackay region
We currently have an exciting Occupational Therapist opportunity based in the Mackay region. With the backing of a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team, the role is largely autonomous with an opportunity to make this role your own! The role is part time permanent covering 8am to 4pm, working 1 day per week.

As the Occupational Therapist for Bolton Clarke, you will provide community based Occupational Therapy services to our customers. At Bolton Clarke, our focus is our clients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with customers to maximise their occupational performance within the home setting and utilise your full scope of practice.
  
Your role:
  • Home assessments: rails, ramps, bathrooms, falls prevention, and education
  • Equipment recommendations to maintain function: household and dressing aids and mobility aids
  • Assisting customer and families with obtaining various support financial, social services, and social and support group
  • Specialised assessments focusing on ability to identify and address areas of self-care, cognition and ADLs
  • Upper limb management, fine motor coordination, dexterity, positioning and rehabilitation
  • Oedema management
  • Develop, lead and run health seminars and group exercise sessions
What do we need from you?
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Occupational Therapy qualification from a recognised tertiary institution
  • C class driver’s licence
  • Understanding of chronic conditions and management
  • Empathy, strong communication and a desire to work for a values based organisation
  • Current Satisfactory National Police check
  • International Police Check (if you have resided overseas in the last 10 years)
  • Exceptional communication skills, high level clinical documentation skills and an ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary team are essential
