We're hiring! We currently have an exciting fulltime permanent opportunity for an Infection Prevention and Control Manager. In this role, you will contribute to the coordination and management of the Bolton Clarke Infection Prevention and Control Program.
You will promote effective, evidence-based Infection Prevention and Control practices throughout Bolton Clarke and you will provide Infection Prevention and Control Consultancy and act as a specialist resource for Bolton Clarke staff and the wider community.
A week in the life of your new role
  • Develop and review Infection Prevention and Control policies, procedures and guidelines to and ensure currency
  • Maintain relevant infection prevention and control resources and ensure accessibility to these resources for staff
  • Participate in and advise various clinical committees/work groups on issues pertaining to infection prevention and control     
  • Respond to all internal and external requests for advice on infection prevention issues
  • Contribute to the development of the role by continued interface and networking between Bolton Clarke and other infection prevention practitioners and professional/peak bodies
  • Participate in quality audits and provide formal reports to relevant governance committees
  • Identify research opportunities and contribute to research projects in conjunction with the Bolton Clarke Research Institute
  What do we need from you?
  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration certificate
  • Post Graduate qualification relevant to the position or enrolled in an appropriate course at the time of employment
  • Certificate IV in training and assessment or other relevant education qualification (desirable)
  • Credentialed by the Australian college for Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC)
  • Proven ability to work as an independent practitioner
  • Demonstrated competence in a leadership role
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills as well as public presentation skills
  • Computer literacy
