About the role

To provide domestic assistance and/or personal support services to customers as allocated by the Qualified Nurse or Clinical Lead.

The delivery of domestic assistance and/or personal support services are provided in an individual, flexible, and customer focused manner by which the customer is able to direct choice and control over their care needs. The rate of pay will be between $22.70  - $23.15.  You will provide:
  • Under the direction and supervision of a person holding the qualifications of a Registered or Enrolled Nurse, provide quality customer care as requested by the customer and in line with the
    customer’s care plan
  • Communicate in a professional and customer focused manner, appropriate for the audience
  • Contribute to the development of the customer’s care plan as required
  • Report changes in customer’s situation, requiring a higher level knowledge of common health conditions, to more senior staff members in a timely and proactive manner
  • Understand and implement individual customer’s Care Plan
  • Take ownership, be proactive and follow procedures for all OH&S activities including, but not limited to, chemical handling, manual handling, safety risk assessments, personal safety and emergency situations
  • Report practices that may breach legislation, policies and procedures relating to domestic assistance/personal support services or Bolton Clarke, to the appropriate person
  • Promote a culture of service delivery that aims to improve the lifestyle experiences of customers
What do we need from you?
  • Qualification in Aged Care/Community Care, Disability or Individual Support
  • Experience in Aged Care or similar field
  • Availability to work various shifts across various days (AM, PM shifts and Night Duty shifts)
  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate)
  • Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
  • A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role.
Nice to have:
  • CHCCS305C – Assist clients with medication or willing to obtain
  • A current First Aid (HLTAID003) & CPR certificate (HLTAID001)
