With 25 years in the field, Caraniche is a specialist provider of a broad range of mental health and consultancy services across Australia. At the heart of everything we do are connections that better lives. We deliver a range of specialist psychological services to government, private and not-for-profit organisations.
We work with some of the most marginalised people in our community to help get their lives back on track through alcohol and drug counselling, specialised services for youth, and behaviour change programs. We are the state-wide drug and alcohol treatment provider in Victoria’s public prisons, and the Victorian state-wide provider of Youth Justice Programs and Services to the youth justice sector. We also work with employers across Australia to deliver leading workplace wellbeing programs, including Employee Assistance Programs and Critical Incident Response.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Quality and Risk Manager to join our team to support a parental leave contract up to June 2022. This role is based in our head office in Abbotsford with some travel required within the role to other sites in metro and regional offices, including custodial locations. 
Flexible work from home options available and four day a week (0.8FTE) applications are also welcomed.

This role will allow the successful applicant to have variety across different areas of the organisation and will be a valued, key stakeholder in Caraniche’s approach to risk management, quality system development, OHS, and Privacy.
The Quality Manager is primarily responsible for the development, integration and ongoing management of Caraniche’s quality accreditation, risk management and compliance processes and is a key driver of facilitating  a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Key Selection Criteria
For you to thrive in this position, it would be ideal if you can identify with the below criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Business, Quality or equivalent
  • Proven internal stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organisation; including Executive and Operational staff and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of risk management systems
  • Experience administering an ISO 9001 Quality system
  • Auditing skills, with a focus of adding value and process improvement
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Analytical, problem solving skills and decision-making skills
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office is essential (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail
Whilst not necessary, it would be viewed favourably if you can demonstrate:
  • Healthcare or allied health background
  • Project management experience
  • Experience managing an EQuIP5 environment
  • Qualifications in Quality Auditing
  • Valid Driver’s licence
