An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Planning Manager to join our merchandise team at our head office in Alexandria. This role will lead the planning process and support our store and merch teams by driving sales and maximising profitability through efficient product and quantity allocation. 

You will be a determined individual who displays exceptional attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Ideally, you have worked within a complex planning environment and will be adaptable to change within a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for:
  • Management of our end-to-end planning processes and workflows with our retailers
  • Manage Monthly MSSI by leading the monthly forecast and annual forecast process that includes sales, profit and inventory
  • Review store performance against sales targets and identify trends and opportunities
  • Create and implement inventory allocation strategies to maximise sales, inventory placement and customer experience
  • Initiate and coordinate collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment discussions with retailers
  • Establish and maintain principles and guidelines for the basic stock including range reviews, product obsolesce and clearance
  • Work closely with 3rd party warehouse to manage inventory into stores
  • Make recommendations and manage exit strategies for lines exiting the business
  • Participate and contribute at post seasonal and strategy meetings
  • Own and communicate demand insights and supply allocation plans to key cross functional internal stakeholders
  • Manage and own the total product lifecycle
  • Continuously improve key end-to-end planning performance indicators from forecasting, order fulfillment, to on-time delivery
 The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5 years of experience as a Planning Manager for a fashion apparel brand
  • Sound analytical and numerical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Adaptable to change in a face -paced environment
  • Strong computer literacy especially with Excel
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience presenting to senior management
  • Ability to influence and inspire action in others
