The Role
We are searching for an experienced and motivated multi-skilled builder/tradesperson for our Building Services division in Sydney.  This is a full time permanent position at foreperson level, involving working at multiple sites across Sydney, undertaking a variety of activities such as building repairs, carpentry, plasterboard, patch render repair, concrete spalling and minor metalwork. Key responsibilities include:
  • Undertake a variety of building and building repair work, working alongside our other work crews and sub-contractors.
  • Review work sites at pricing stage and advise Project Manager or Estimator regarding the building work required.
  • Carry out assessment of allocated building works with regard to access, equipment, materials requirements and techniques and processes.
  • Carry out basic estimating of works to aid in the calculation of quantities of materials and equipment.
  • Strict adherence to all Higgins operational and safety requirements.
What do we need from you?
  • Multi skilled experience in a variety of trades in the building industry, especially with carpentry, concrete/cement render and metalwork.
  • Experience in working on multi-work sites and alongside various trade contractors, such as painters, plumbers & electricians.
  • Able to work take direction and work autonomously
  • Personal drive and the ability to inspire confidence in both clients and subcontractors
  • Numerically sound, with exposure to estimating/costing
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Exemplary safety knowledge
  • Neat and tidy personal presentation
  • Able to use IT systems
  • Construction Induction Card is a must

  • EBA conditions - RDOs, paid weekly - $31.80 per hour
  • Foreperson allowance of minimum of $150 per week
