People & Culture Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE
The primary objective of the People & Culture Manager role is to guide, support and manage the overall provision of People & Culture services, policies, and programs for the Brennan IT Global Service Centre. Guided by the Business Head, India and P&C Manager (Australia) the role will support the GSC people strategy aligned with the P&C and GSC business plans whilst driving operational excellence to attract, engage, develop and retain our top talent.
You will be required to manage the daily operations of GSC HR function while promoting equal employment, compliant employment, health and safety practices, acting as an employee advocate and fostering a transparent environment  whereby policies and procedures are well supported and communicated. Maximising the workforce capabilities, engagement and improving attraction and retention of our human capital is critical to your success in the role.
The role is diverse and requires a passionate HR professional who is self-motivated, resilient, disciplined, ethical and results oriented while demonstrating exceptional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. You will possess excellent time and project management skills with the ability to deal with sensitive/confidential matters appropriately.

KEY COMPETENCIES DETAILS
Essential
  • Minimum 7+ years of HR Operations/generalist experience preferably in a competitive IT corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Employment legislation, Health & Safety and HR best practice with ability to interpret and translate into policies and procedures
  • An ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organization in the resolution of HR issues
  • Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in research, and policy and program development
  • Substantial experience in the development and effective delivery/facilitation of training programs to achieved specified learning outcomes
  • Proven success in the development and implementation of human resource programs and initiatives, including review and improvement of work practices
  • Knowledge of job evaluation and classification review processes
  • Well-developed organizational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and control own workload
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to a small team, including the capacity to review and improve workplace practices
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, promote and uphold HR initiatives and values, including discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to contribute towards the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Managing Induction, onboarding, separation and termination process
  • Facilitating soft skills to small groups
  • Managing Grievance counselling, employee relations, performance management and disciplinary action
  • Coaching skills
  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive conversations with employees to negate a positive outcome
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft suite – word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including interviewing, conducting internal training sessions and counselling
