You'll proactively manage operational risks,  providing insights and judgement on the risk and control environment. Perfect blend of BAU and Project work.
Vital, high profile role in assisting management with sound and rational risk advice and decision making.  
  • Provide operational and compliance risk advice over Regulatory and Control Operations strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, update and maintain the Regulatory and Control Operations risk profile and contribute to updates on relevant operational risks to the Group Operations Risk Profile.
  • Draft papers for the Regulatory and Control Operations Risk Forum, Group Operations Non-Financial Risk Committee, Regulatory and Control Operations Committee and Enterprise Services Non-Financial Risk Committee.
  • Coach and mentor team members and peers enabling them to develop their risk knowledge and become effective risk professionals.
  • Contribute to the uplift and maintenance of capability across the bank more broadly, including Risk Culture i.e. planning, coaching, remediation and uplifting risk management service excellence.
  • Facilitate Risk in Change (RiC) assessments for projects and business change initiatives.
  • deliver risk impact to the control environment.
  • Experience in Financial Crime Risk and Controls.
  • Risk Mindset –identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
  • Strong risk management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • A demonstrated self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Professional certifications (CA,RMIA).
  • Sound understanding of risk management frameworks and relevant certifications.
