Our client is a growing group of integrated businesses in the grain industry from the farming of land through to marketing to the end user; working together to tackle the challenges of the supply chain to ensure a premium product is delivered to customers. The Company is now embracing exciting changes and expansion and strives to innovate and change with the ever-evolving landscape of farming in the 21st century.
 
A new senior position is available for an experienced, dynamic individual to work closely with the CEO across multiple entities.

Your Role
As an integral member of the team, you will provide high level secretarial and administrative support to the CEO.
 
Apart from the usual EA duties of managing diaries, appointments, travel arrangements, expenses, drafting correspondence and handling enquiries, you will also be involved at Board level to follow up on actions, co-ordinate and distribute documentation and to attend and take minutes at monthly Board Meetings.
 
The most important part of this role is to engage in effective communication.  You will learn business operations and get to know the people, and you will assist the busy CEO by facilitating communications between the CEO, executives, managers, employees, customers and suppliers.

About You
We are seeking a highly experienced and confident EA who can assist in developing this new position. For the right cultural fit, you will be able to work quickly, think on your feet, be flexible and go with the flow.  To be successful in this senior role, you will need the following:
 
An ability to quickly understand, interpret and effectively communicate messages and instructions on behalf of the CEO
  • Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills
  • Proven talent in organising and coordinating yourself as well as others
  • Ability to use discretion and confidentiality in interpreting and facilitating communications with a diverse group of people
  • Capability to quickly build strong rapport with people at all levels
  • Customer focussed and ability to handle customer interaction
  • Curiosity and keenness to learn the organisation’s operations, procedures and people
  • Self-motivation to work autonomously and get the job done
  • Demonstrated approach of a confident team player who embraces change with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Ability to travel to Brisbane and other destinations for Board Meetings
  • Advanced level of computer skills (Office Suite)
  • Tertiary business qualifications (desirable, but not essential)
Candidates with an understanding of agriculture or a farming background will be highly regarded. A current driver’s licence is essential.
