About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, this role will focus on accurately and efficiently processing end to end payroll services for a business comprising of over 600 employees.  You will act as first point of contact for all payroll related queries and be committed to innovation and change, with a proven track record in process and efficiency improvement.
Your responsibilities will include (however not limited to) - 
  • Processing of high volume, end-to-end pay runs, on a fortnightly basis
  • Correct interpretation of multiple Awards and accurately implementing the Award conditions
  • Following up and reconciling employee timesheets
  • General payroll related processing, such as new hires, calculating employee leave and leave accruals, termination of employees
  • Provide timely, accurate payroll advice and support to employees and leadership group
  • Payroll reporting, including leave liabilities, review of salary budgets and maintenance of all employee pay related databases
About You 
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a high-volume payroll position, impeccable time-management skills and attention to detail.  In addition you will also have/be  -
  • An understanding of payroll legislation and processes, including Single Touch Payroll, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and PAYG
  • Ability to work within a complex environment, using multiple systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of Awards
  • Experience using Sage Micropay and MYOB (desirable)
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, enabling you to reconcile reports and system data with ease
  • An enthusiastic and positive mindset, capable of remaining calm in a high-pressure environment
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly with Excel and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and autonomously manage workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organised and time efficient
