Mount Gibson Iron Limited is an established independent Australian producer of premium quality direct shipping iron ore (DSO) with assets in the Kimberley and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
  
Mount Gibson Iron is excited to be recruiting for our new Mine Site - Shine. Shine is located just 375km northeast of Perth in the Mid-West region of Western Australia.

About the role:
We are now seeking to employ an experienced Production Supervisors at our new Shine Mine Site on a 7/7/7 (7 days on, 7 nights on, 7 days off - 12-hour day) roster. Our FIFO and DIDO rosters will appeal to candidate in either Geraldton or Perth.
Reporting directly to the Production Superintendent the primary focus of this role is to safely manage and coordinate day to day mining activities within the load and haul production crew to ensure production targets are met

Key tasks and responsibilities
  • Compliance and enforcement of Mount Gibson Mining policies and procedures.
  • Follow directions of Management
  • Supervise / direct / instruct Leading Hands and Operators
  • Mobile equipment operator training and development.
  • Implementation of daily and weekly mining plans.
  • Make recommendations for leave and recruitment.
  • Manage any HR issues that may arise from your direct reports
  • Liaison with both internal and external customers.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Quarry Managers Certificate desirable
  • Senior First Aid Ticket (preferred)
  • Extensive experience with open pit mining experience particularly in hard rock conditions.
  • Well developed written and oral communication/presentation skills are essential.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to complete projects on time without Supervision.
  • Good leadership skills in providing motivation and setting organisational objectives.
  • Actively monitor and influence performance of subordinate staff.
  • Good organisational skills.
