We are growing each day, which is why we are currently scaling all our teams. This is a newly created function within Zip. A role that sits within the Marketing Team’s Growth Function - as part of an autonomous squad focusing on our growth initiatives.

What are we looking for?
A talented engineer who can work cross functionally within Growth and Engineering teams who has an inquisitive nature, who enjoys working through the
highest value experimental projects, embedding learnings and figuring out how to scale to full-fledging project and marketing initiatives.
  
As an Engineer within the Growth team, your role is to lead lean development underpinning growth projects. You are likely to work autonomously, alongside a cross disciplinary team with a growth designer, growth marketer and growth data analyst.
  
What your day will look like at Zip:
  • Support the strategic and engineering vision for the Zip business and its current and future product and service offerings.
  • Support the planning and achievement of the growth squad experiments in order to deliver on the Growth team roadmap, Zip’s overall organisational goals and the Marketing Business Unit plan
  • In collaboration with other Engineering leadership - work to define Zip’s growth engineering needs, including lightweight platform solutions, API services, marketing platforms and data and tracking solutions.
  • Promote Zip’s interests when required in public fora – including investors, partners, customers and other stakeholders
  • Execute on the engineering requirements of the growth projects, including:
o   Infrastructure choices
o   Solution build (backend / frontend)
o   Tracking implementation
  • Liaise with other engineering leads across product teams to coordinate solution architecture, deployment, testing and wind back.
  
You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with .NET Core, AWS  infrastructure, Microservices and Docker containers
  • 1-2 years engineering experience in an agile environment (including architecture design, testing, and scalable code experience) - B2C start-up experience, app experience heavily favoured
  • You have a passion for building consumer products (side projects and open source work are appreciated)
  • You have a passion for results-oriented work!

  • You’re a proficient, self-sufficient developer, who understands a range of platforms and technologies
