This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team and successful consultancy that provides flexibility and a supportive team and you with the ability to empower project to deliver in the aspect of planning approvals and management.  
  • Managing and preparing impact assessments and reviewing technical studies/design drawings;
  • Supporting integrated approvals processes (state and federal) for major infrastructure developments.
  • Coordinate the project definition and request for SEARs preparation, including concept design, specialist and technical reporting and associated reviews.
  • Response to Submission reporting and, if necessary, amended proposal assessment
  • Coordinate DPE and IPC assessment phase responses, including specialist and technical reporting
  • Managing and preparing regular reports covering planning applications/approvals status and recent meetings with key stakeholders
  • Project manage and interface with relevant government agencies and consultants, for major infrastructure developments and administer agreements relating to planning approvals
  • Project manage the preparation of, and review consultants’ delivery to program in line with required planning approvals
  • Working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other service lines.
  • Manage commercials for the planning approvals, providing monthly updates and budget status – variations, forecast, and cost to complete planning application.
The skills you will have to be successful;
Your natural ability to influence and build great relationships with others, whilst remaining technically focused. As well as;
• 5+ years’ relevant environmental planning experience;
• Relevant degree qualifications in either: Environmental Science, Town Planning or Environmental Project Management
• Demonstrative experience working for management consulting, engineering or construction firm will be highly regarded; with Infrastructure related approvals experience.
• Experience would need to include front end environmental assessments
• A good reputation for delivering high-quality work and building excellent team morale and client relationships
