We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner. Full time role based at Upper Mount Gravatt.

Southern Cross Care (Qld) Ltd (SCCQ) is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation providing residential, retirement and community care services to elderly and disabled persons. A faith based organisation, our values centre around Trust, Integrity, Mercy, Empowerment and Stewardship

The role is offered in a full time capacity and based at our Corporate Office in Upper Mount Gravatt. With 11 Residential Care Facilities from Taroom (5 hours west of Maryborough) down to Edens Landing (southern suburbs of Brisbane). This role also requires travel to sites as required.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the People & Culture Business Partner will partner with business leaders and team members to provide day to day ER/IR advice and interpretation of HR policies, processes and procedures. Coach and support business leaders on complex HR matters whilst actively mitigating workplace relations exposure. Participation in development and implementation of People & Culture projects and initiatives.

Ideally you will possess:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related discipline.
  • Strong generalist experience in day to day HR/ER advice and interpretation of HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Experience in the case management of disciplinary procedures, performance management, investigations and grievances;
  • Knowledge of awards, legislation and enterprise agreements
  • Ability to coach leadership to manage performance and complex employee matters.
  • Ability to influence and engage with all levels in the organisation;
  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal, presentation, and written)

With over 1000 employees, the organisation owns and operates 5 retirement villages, 11 aged care facilities, 4 low cost rental unit complexes and provides community services across South East Queensland, supporting the aged in their own homes.
