Who are we looking for –  

An experienced professional to join our team on a permanent full-time basis in the newly created role - Head of Retirement Living.   This role calls for an autonomous self-directed work style, the ability to deliver and keep our customers forefront of mind, natural leadership skills with a drive to develop, coach and lead the team, and the ability to manage stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
  
Why is this role needed -

The Head of Retirement Living will define and deliver the Strategy that establishes Retirement Living as an effective, dynamic and sustainable function within the organisation. This will involve leading and enhancing the Retirement Living function to enable the organisation to achieve excellence Independent Living options for our consumers.
  
What will this role be doing -
  • Develop and implement the Retirement Living strategy for the achievement of short and long-term objectives of increased growth and sustainability in the Retirement Living sector.
  • Create a Retirement Living program focusing on ageing in place, and advance and diversify the future business model
  • Coordinate the analysis of economic, social, technical, legal and other data trends to inform strategy, objectives, policies and programs in the Retirement Living function.
  • Build the Retirement Living portfolio by leading the Retirement Living function and team in the identification and delivery of Retirement Living sales targets, consumer engagement and occupancy rates.
  • Own the financial performance of the division and oversee the operational aspects of Retirement Living including people, systems, process and performance.  
  
What skills and experience will the successful candidate be able to demonstrate -
  • Previous experience within a Retirement Living environment
  • Minimum 5 years management experience with strong ability to lead and support operational teams
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic and organisational change management
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external clients, contractors and consultants as required
  • Demonstrated financial performance and budgeting experience
  • Demonstrated experience of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
  
Where is the role – Whilst the role is conveniently located in our Support Centre in the southside location of Upper Mt Gravatt, the expectations is that you will be able to travel on an as needs basis to our Retirement Villages.
