Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market.

IMC and its associated indigenous Joint Venture partners have been delivering projects to Tier 1 Resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum, Northern Star Resources FMG, Roy Hill, Saracen Minerals and Newcrest Mining amongst others since 2013.

We are currently seeking experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team at the Karratha Gas Plant. You will be responsible for undertaking HSEQ matters as required by the organisation. This includes gathering HSEQ data, preparing reports for relevant internal and external stakeholders and assisting in the development, implementation, review and auditing of IMC's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Management System to maintain certification to relevant AS/NZS and ISO standards.

While first consideration will be given to residential candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Karratha, 2:2  or 5:2:4:3 FIFO roster ex Perth is negotiable.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:  
  • Implementation of the Health Safety & Environmental Management Plan and associated procedures onsite;
  • Ensure adherence to same;
  • Promoting awareness of customer requirements and continual improvement principles with respect to HSEQ;
  • Actively contribute to delivering a project free from incidents, injury and environmental harm;
  • Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits, Maintaining project site records;
  • Incident management Monitoring the status of corrective and preventative actions identified, and provide advice and reports to Project Management on close-out actions;
  • Other HSEQ duties as required;
  • VOC’s  
Successful candidate will demonstrate:  
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the Resource sector
  • Relevant qualifications in OH&S (Cert IV), Diploma level or higher
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment – must have
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written,
  • Excellent computer skills with a sound knowledge of the MS Office
  • Manual driver’s license
  • Current first aid certification
  • ICAM or Taproot methodology
