Our client
Our client is one of New Zealand's leading commercial design studios, renowned for their dynamic expertise and work across a diverse range of small to large scale projects; simply put, they bring to life and create amazing spaces! Based in the heart of Auckland's CBD, our client boasts a fun and vibrant office paired with a driven, tight-knit team culture. Due to a key member of the team going on maternity leave, our client is seeking a Senior Interior Designer who can also lead and motivate the team.
 
The role
Responsible for manning the ship, leading the team and getting the creative juices flowing, we are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to take over a MAT leave contract with the possibility of turning permanent. You will have solid workspace strategy and retail design experience and have a passion for interiors. With a proven history of designing beautiful spaces, you will lead the team whilst providing the highest level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.  

Key duties: 
  • Leading and overseeing interior design projects 
  • Liaising with and briefing clients
  • Play a key part in leading the team and being a credible designer for the team to continue to learn from 
Key skills required: 
  • ArchiCAD proficient 
  • Photoshop / Indesign proficient 
  • Workplace strategy skills a must 
  • Degree and or Diploma in design/architecture or equivalent  
  • Creative thinker with good technical and management ability
