JIVARO is currently recruiting for a talented General Manager to join a rapidly growing Premium Australian Pet manufacturer and retailer based in Melbourne. 
  
Our client is seeking someone who can drive a team and lead the brand strategically, you will oversee all of the Supply Chain Operations and Logistics, whilst leading and inspiring your team.
  
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will have the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing a commercial and desirable range that meets sales budgets, margin targets, proposed range mix, and customer expectations
  • Proactively lead, motivate and support the team
  • Contributing to and implementing the company's medium- and long-term strategic plan
  • Monitor and maintain all operations systems 
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and equipment
  • Participate in new product innovation and development
  • Assist in the development of new business to successfully onboard new clients and products
  • Build and manage internal and external partnerships
  • Development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all OHS requirements
  • Championing the company's mission statement by promoting the desired vision, attitude, and culture
 
  
To be successful for this role you will have:
  • Have a sound understanding of Supply chain operations. 
  • Effectively plan workload & prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
  • Be a clear communicator & negotiator with the ability to influence and work well with a variety of people
  • Have strong leadership, management, and coaching skills to develop others
  • Have experience within a similar role within Retail, Wholesale, or FMCG
  • Commercial aptitude and trend awareness
