Online trading Manager


This is a business critical role, taking ownership of a set of categories and driving a strong commercial result through our clients website.

  • Accountable for sales, profit, conversion rate and average order value of your categories
  • Develop aligned strategies with Merchandise and Marketing to build and execute the online range plan, trading plan, promotional strategy.
  • Lead team to identify growth opportunities and work back with relevant teams to unlock them.
  • Detailed understanding of the customer funnel through Tools & Analytics and continuous optimisation through A/B testing; detailed understanding of on-site search behaviour and relevant optimisation
  • Supply detailed insights on a regular (daily/weekly/monthly) basis about the category performance and make data-driven decisions to continuously optimise and grow
  • Minimum 3-5yrs experience in eCommerce merchandising or trading, ideally in the retail sector and with P&L responsibility
  • Sound business acumen with strong analytical and planning capabilities
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with key stakeholders to influence their strategy and decision making processes
  • Strong experience with website analytics, ideally Google Analytics
  • Develops team objectives, roles and responsibilities in line with overall business objectives, and with clear timelines, relevant metrics and measures of success
  • Drives a culture of high performance within team
  • Uses retail management expertise to merchandise, operate and organise the website to deliver wonderful customer experiences
