OSHC Assistant Coordinator – Permanent Part Time

A great role has just become available in Lindfield on Sydney's North Shore, for an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Assistant Coordinator to join this established volunteer Parent Committee managed OSHC centre.

  • Currently no vacation care but will be added soon (proposed for April 2020). Other local centres have work available for those wanting the extra money during the holidays.

About the position?
  • Assist the Director and Program Coordinator with the day to day running of the service.
  • Positively interact with all stakeholders – children, families, school and other educators of the service. A positive on the floor presence.
  • Very child centred - assist with programming to help maintain a range of spontaneous, fun, child driven activities that capture both the interests and passions of the children.
  • Day to day administration (such as daily checklists, assist with preparing breakfast and afternoon tea, keeping up with any reporting requirements such as Serious Incidents, etc).
  • OSHC is a rewarding career direction which offers flexibility whilst working within a regulated National Quality Framework (NQF). OSHC has a focus of providing quality care to children via a play-based program (like a school curriculum) that has a focus on the social and emotional development of children.
Who are we looking for?
  • A positive on floor presence.
  • Someone willing to learn with a positive mindset.
  • Someone that can positively communicate with all stakeholders (families, children, educators).
  • CHCPRT001: Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection (or willingness to obtain).
  • HLTAID004: Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (or willingness to obtain).
