Come join this well established OSHC service as the Assistant Coordinator & Educational Leader, work alongside an experienced team leader and for a small positive NFP who values their educators and quality of care provided to children.

This service is located near Kogarah, South side of Sydney.

  • Full time position | 35 hours a week | 3 Block & 2 Split Shifts per week.
  • A great role as the educational leader to plan the fun learning experiences at the service in line with the MYTOP outcomes.
  • Plenty of admin / non contact time, approx 15 hours per week. Use this to focus on the Educational Leader side of the service - programming, program cycle, working with educators on developing their input to the program and documentation.
  • Remaining hours on the floor per week, build on the relationships with the children and educators.
  • Assisted by a supportive NFP small provider, with head office handling all rostering, policies, payroll and most CCMS (QikKids) items. Gives you more time to focus on the day to day at the centre.

What's involved?
  • Assistant Coordinator & Educational Leader position.
  • Assist with the day to day organisation, management, program development and leadership of the OSHC service.
  • Under 150 place service.
  • Supervising children K-6 (5-12 years of age).
  • Assist with leading a team of Educators.
  • Liaise with stakeholders (families, school, community) and bring a sense of community and improve on quality.
  • Assist with maintaining and continuously contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for the service.
Who are we looking for?
  • Educational Leader experience (desirable).
  • Someone looking for a change, who wants to step up and make a positive difference.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Children’s Services or approved equivalent or above.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with other educators.
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Office, emails, internet and social media.
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • A positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with educators, parents and the school community.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and the National Quality Standard.
  • Understanding of the needs of school aged children.
