What you will be doing
You will be responsible for maintaining financial and compliance obligations against State and Commonwealth contracts, as well as overseeing and managing the financial data and reporting requirements across our RTO business.
  • Managing of State and Commonwealth Funding Financial activity and Reporting
  • Lodging claims on time without errors
  • Implement variations to funding rates in line with guidelines
  • Management of any contract acquittals
  • Monthly Financial Reporting
  • Present a monthly summary of key elements of contract management to finance and management team
  • Invoices are raised and issued in line with enrolment agreements
  • Payment plans are established and actively monitored on a fortnightly basis
  • Refunds are properly processed and settled within policy time frames
  • Student payments on debts are managed and escalated to finance weekly
  • Creation and publication of the fee schedules for planned courses due to commence within the next 6 months
How to get the job: 
If you consider that you are a good at what you do and can demonstrate the following;
  • A solid understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • High attention to detail with numerical ability, data entry accuracy and speed.
  • Customer service focus with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-moving organisation with high transactional volumes.
  • Experience in VET and Higher Education in a similar position is desirable
  • Knowledge of business systems and administrative requirements of the regulated education industry.
  • Ability to use technology and systems including high level spreadsheets and financial analysis tools.
  • Agile in your approach to working with multiple stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification or VET (Cert IV or Diploma) qualifications in business administration, accounting, or finance is desirable
