Our client is a global tech entrepreneurial scale up that is currently undergoing an exciting period of rapid growth and transformation. They are well known for their customer obsessed mindset and top class quality services which are well recognised globally. Due to their consistent year on year growth, a new role has been created for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to work closely with the senior leadership team and cross functionality with key business unit leaders to drive growth and performance. 
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team, where your finance experience, commercial acumen and business partnering skills will drive the business to its next phase of growth. As the commercial finance expert, you will partner closely with cross functional business leaders to provide insights and recommendations that will drive the commercial ambitions of the business.
Your deep understanding of business drivers, together with strong commercial acumen, relationship building, financial modelling, influencing and communication skills will enable you to provide a persistent challenge to senior management, enabling business growth.
Reporting to an experienced Head of Finance and working closely with the senior leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Financial business partnership - Provide financial advice and support to key business leaders to effectively and efficiently manage business operations and performance.
  • Strategic planning & execution - work closely with business leaders to support the local and global business and develop financial models to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements.
  • Financial modelling and feasibility assessments - provide support to the business on key commercial strategies diving into the details of productivity metrics including ROI and customer lifetime value analysis as well as business case preparation.
  • Stakeholder relationship management – establish collaborative relationships to meet business needs as well as coaching and contributing to business strategy.
  • Operational performance management - Identify gaps between forecasts to targets, actuals to targets and assist in the development and agreement on strategy required.
  • Financial planning & analysis – own the budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process for the group ensuring strategic alignment to business objectives.
You are qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with experience in a commercial finance business partner or similar commercial finance role. Experience within a highly disruptive category or fast growth entrepreneurial organisation is advantageous. You have demonstrated experience working in partnership with business leaders to drive business and financial performance. You have a track record of driving enterprise value and shareholder wealth. You possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proven ability to analyse and interpret financial results of a business with multi-faceted operations. In addition, you will have:
  • Strong commercial finance acumen with a proven track record of actively driving commercial agendas across the business.
  • Demonstrated financial modelling and business case preparation experience.
  • Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • Pro-active and customer focused mind set.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Superior stakeholder management, including advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
