We’re looking for a Senior People Partner who will partner with the business to deliver innovative and people-focused solutions. The secret to success in this role will be your ability to combine extensive human resources generalist experience with strong employee relations knowledge, whilst ensuring we’re always taking a people-first approach to all things people and culture. 

As a experienced human resources generalist at Hireup, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation and broader People and Culture team to effectively navigate a wide variety of people-related issues.

Priorities - the work
  • Partner with key business stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, to deliver innovative people-focused solutions across the employee lifecycle - including remuneration, talent management, employee relations, performance and development. 
  • Be a trusted advisor, coach and mentor to Hireup’s people leaders, including building their leadership capability and supporting leaders to nurture teams to high performance.  
  • As the point person for all things employee relations at Hireup HQ, you’ll couple strong technical knowledge and experience with a uniquely human-centred approach to advice and decision making. 
  • Lead the implementation of annual people programs, including the annual remuneration review and performance and development cycles. 
  • Lead on new people programs, projects and initiatives for Hireup HQ in an innovative and uniquely Hireup way.  
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the People and Culture team in technical human resources practices. 
Capabilities - the person
  • At least 7+ years experience as a people and culture business partner or generalist. 
  • Strong experience and knowledge of employee relations legislation and practices, and a demonstrated ability to apply this in a uniquely human-centred way. 
  • Strong senior stakeholder management skills.
  • Possess exceptional emotional intelligence and an ability to navigate complex situations with empathy and humility.
  • Strong connection to, or interest in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community.
  • Approach work with high-energy, drive and internal motivation.
  • Exhibit adaptability, resilience, transparency, trustworthiness, passion and innate curiosity.
