Our Client

Our client is one of the most recognisable and respected brands in almost every Australian household pantry. For decades they have been producing high quality product to the shelves of all major retailers across Australia.


Reporting to the QA Manager, in this 3 month temp to perm contract role your core responsibilities will be to manage laboratory functions and identification, development and implementation of quality initiatives to meet business, customer and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities include
  • Maintain a strategic direction and quality focused mindset across the complete organisation.
  • Assist and manage the operational adherence of QMS and Food safety systems for all sites (HACCP, GMP, ISO, BRC).
  • Participate in supplier audits. Good experience with WQA, SQF, MSQA.
  • Ensure all customer complaints are prioritised and brought to a timely and effective resolution.
  • Ensure all performance indicators are monitored and regularly reported on.
  • Assist in internal and external audits
  • Oversee and support site product testing (microbiology, chemistry, sensory); calibrations and other lab functions
  • Customer complaints, investigation and close out
  • Identify and assist in Quality Improvement initiatives, e.g. From complaints, NCRs, audits, etc.
  • Assist in maintenance of quality system, including Quality SOPs, Risk Assessments, document control, etc.
Skills Required 
  • Tertiary qualifications in quality, food science or similar.
  • Substantial experience in FMCG Quality, preferably within a high care food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent understanding of the implementation of HACCP, ISO and BRC.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with a high focus on engaging with all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of wider business goals.
  • Strong communication skills, oral verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
