Finance Coordinator -  Part-time to Fulltime (up to 37.5 hrs per week)
Working Location: Position available to be based in our Sonder Edinburgh North Centre.

We are seeking applications from highly motivated and goal orientated finance professionals with excellent leadership skills and ability to work in a high performing team. The Finance Coordinator is a key leadership position within the Finance & IT portfolio and provides operational oversight to the coordination and delivery of Sonder’s finance services. The incumbent is primarily responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and assisting the day to day functions of the finance team which includes strong financial control, payroll services and accurate, timely financial information. 

The Finance Coordinator is accountable to the Executive Manager, Finance & IT for the efficient and effective execution of assigned tasks to meet operational service deliverables such as, but not limited provision of high quality financial and statutory reporting, leading the preparation and coordination of the annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting legislations and ensuring appropriate finance systems and controls are in place. The incumbent will provide hands-on technical accounting expertise to ensure outcomes are successfully achieved.

The successful applicant will have:
  • CPA/CA designation
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role or senior financial accounting and statutory reporting role.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a finance team.
  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of management, financial and systems accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and interpreting management accounts and other financial reports for various programs/ projects of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the use of a variety of accounting package.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering high quality and timely budgeting, financial planning, financial data analysis and accounting advice.
