A unique and exciting opportunity exists for the right person to join a multi-disciplinary team of health professions as a Health Assistant / Registered Nurse. This role would suit those with practice nursing, health coaching, medical administration, retail or customer service experience.
Success in the role is working collaboratively within a clinical team, engaging with patients and motivating them towards health improvement goals, enrolling patients into Osana clinics, and supporting patient access to health services.

Health assistant duties include

• Accessing services - Organising patient appointments, transporting patients, updating notes, sending or chasing referrals, liaising with other providers.
• Admin - processing Medicare billings and payment invoices, coordinating team meetings, scanning/faxing, document handling.
• Patient engagement – generating enrolment leads and enrolling patients, greeting patients at the clinics, taking patient calls, supporting and encouraging patients to achieve their health goals, conducting home visits, ensuring relevant follow up activities, providing customer service.

Registered nurse duties include:
• Treatment room - clinical triage, infection control, vaccinations, dressings and wound management, assisting with minor procedures, stocking and cold chain management
• Triage and assessment of patients; screening tests including ECG, spirometry
• Chronic disease management – health assessments, care planning, recalls and reminders, case conferences, multi-disciplinary meetings, risk surveys, data collection
• Diabetes management in preparation for being a credential diabetes educator
Required skills
• Highly organised, efficient with a strong commitment and work ethic
• Strong customer service, interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communications
• Proficient in using laptops, shared folders, new software and online/mobile Apps
• Can-do attitude, ability to own and solve problems, take initiative, analytical skills
• Full Class C Drivers License, current CPR Certificate and indemnity insurance
• Registered nurse qualifications, AHPRA registered with no conditions
