The Opportunity

The Centre Manager requires a high performing Assistant Operations Manager to provide critical support to a world class Operations Manager.  Working as a close team you’ll be responsible for the facilitation of all on-site operations and organising soft and hard services in multiple well known Newcastle shopping centres.
As the Assistant Operations Manager you will assist in the following duties:
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to roll out the strategic and operational direction
  • Assist in Co-ordinating and manage contractors, ensuring agreed standards of service delivery are met
  • Assist in overseeing tenancy coordination
  • Drive the presentation and curation of the centre
  • Contributing to the overall success of the centre with a key focus on continuous improvement
The Candidate

You will ideally have:
  • Prior working experience working as an Assistant Operations/Facilities Manager in a shopping centre environment OR
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a building/managing portfolio
  • Trade qualification will be highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety, Compliance and Risk
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship development skills
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Common sense and have the ability to make decisions
