An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced and innovative shopping centre Retail Property Manager or Assistant Centre Manager who is ideally looking to work part-time for the first 12months of employment. The role will turn into a full-time position once the development of a brand-new shopping centre has been completed.   

Reporting to the Regional Manager based in Brisbane, you will be the sole property manager in Townsville responsible for the small portfolio of retail centres. Having prior experience in shopping centre management either as a centre manager, retail manager, assistant centre manager, marketing manager or commercial property management is required.  

You will be responsible for making sure the centres continue to perform strongly and key relationships with retailers and stakeholders are managed to add value.

Responsibilities and duties will include:
  • Work with the Regional Manager to prepare and analyse quarterly budget reviews and reports
  • Implementation of the retailer engagement strategy
  • Debtor management
  • Work closely with the asset and facilities managers to schedule maintenance and repairs with minimal disruption to business
  • Foster productive business partnerships with all retailers and external service providers (such as legal services and contractors)
  • Ensure the retail strategy aligns and delivers on the owner’s vision for success
  • Contribute to marketing and advertising strategies and branding
  • Exceptionally represent the company’s values and prestigious brand in all business interactions and transactions
The ideal applicant will have:  
  • Min 2-3+ years’ experience in a Retail Manager/Assistant Centre Managers, Centre Manager, Marketing Manager or Commercial Property Management
  • Innovative and dynamic personality who likes to think outside the box
  • Strong communication and client engagement skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Have the ability to manage all stakeholders expectations, both internal and external
  • Polished professional to represent the prestigious brand
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of trust
