About the role:
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Slade Pharmacy team based at Toronto Private Hospital. This is a part-time 12-month contract for a Pharmacist looking to expand their leadership skills. With guidance from our leaders, you will work 3 days per week between 7.30am - 3.30pm and be responsible for driving quality health outcomes while managing a tight-knit team. You will also assist in the development and maintenance of innovative pharmacy services.
Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and dispensing activities
  • Assist the team with clinical pharmacy services i.e. medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Manage workload allocations
  • Educate and advise staff and patients on disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
  • Develop strong working relationships with key hospital staff and patient relationships
  • Participate in committee meetings
  • Involvement in quality activities within the department
  • Conduct recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees
About you:
We are seeking an approachable individual who has a focus on delivering a high standard of customer service and can take initiative. Ability to efficiently manage the workload of the pharmacy is key to succeeding.

Skills & experience:
  • Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacist
  • Knowledge of FRED Office
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A high level of planning and organisational skills
