The Opportunity
This globally recognised business has an exciting new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their Christchurch based team, reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller.

With multiple businesses internationally, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to contribute through providing planning and financial advice to the operational team, really giving you the chance to influence operational decisions.

A good amount of the role will be focused around report development, forecasting and budgeting as well as CAPEX reporting and business case analysis, allowing you to get involved in a number of different areas in the business.

Being a global business, you will have an excellent opportunity to understand more about the operations of a multi-national, from reporting through to business partnering with the various managers through New Zealand.

The Role
Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include, but not be limited to;
  • Production of accurate and timely management accounts to support the groups operational business leaders
  • Working with management on capital expenditure reporting, investment appraisals and business cases
  • Provide the business leaders with sound advice across budgeting, forecasting and business planning
  • Assist in the budgeting process and assist with the implementation of business improvement projects as required
  • Support the finance team with month end balance sheet reconciliations as required
  
Your Profile
  • 4+ years’ experience with exposure to month end procedures and corporate accounting
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be either CA or CPA qualified
  • Be a strong user of Excel and preferably have experience using an ERP system
  • Have an aptitude to learn and develop your skill set within a global corporate
  • Be an excellent communicator who build rapport with stakeholders easily
  • Analytical thinker with an eye for detail and ability to provide value add reporting
