Business Development Manager - Clean Hydrogen

About the role
Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Business Development you will acquire profitable non-conventional/Clean Hydrogen business across the key sectors of Hydrogen mobility, in all industries and government areas.

Based in our Head Office in North Ryde,  you will be responsible for market development for the non-conventional/clean Hydrogen business to capture and grow product sales and services in this emerging markets as well as working collaboratively and supporting the APAC OPD & LE Teams, and other BOC sales teams.
You will have an ability to see an opportunity and monetise in a way that’s not been done before and design a deal that gets a commercial outcome. You will be accountable for the performance, including sales & profit targets and navigate corporate governance within the freedom of start-up thinking.
Other responsibilities in this role include:  
  • Conduct opportunity assessments for all existing and target customers
  • Develop and maintain an industry-specific competitor data base
  • Develop and implement action-driven account plans for target projects & customers
  • Leverage Linde Hydrogen applications with a focus on oil & gas
  • Design Solutions and Negotiate Contracts
  • Monitor and understand economic, government and industry development across the market
  • Evaluate and understand current and future customer and market needs
  • Build business cases for investment in assets to support growth in the market
What we like about you:  
  • Qualification in mechanical or chemical engineering, science or other related discipline with sales, business development or market development background.
  • Proven experience in sales or related industry experience in a B2B environment in an Oil and Gas related industry.
  • Experience in dealing at a senior level with large Major Companies including government bodies
  • Demonstratable technical/industrial knowledge and expertise with an insight into resource industry development and opportunities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Good business and commercial acumen
