We are excited to bring an experienced retail manager into our Hastings team to pave the way for further success. This is an accomplished store with staff who sustain smashing sales targets and receiving excellent customer feedback. This is truly an opportunity for you to make the role your own and develop a store that is not only a retail operation, but also offers design advice and a full service solution for our customers. Days of work are Tuesday – Saturday with no late nights!

We service our customers with the entire range of curtains, blinds and shutters so we have the perfect solution to suit any home. We are looking for the right candidate who is approachable, understanding and can coach the team to drive success. You will be invested in the presentation of the store, from merchandise displays to general shop-keeping as well as making sure employees have all of the training and tools needed to provide the best service for customers. Not only will you be managing the store and the team, you will also enjoy being on the shop floor and consulting with customers on the best design solution for them and their home.

Responsibilities include:
  • Guiding the team and providing support for them to grow and feel valued
  • Maintaining knowledge of HR legislation relevant to managing a team
  • Provide up to date feedback to the Store Performance Manager in regards to store, sale and staff performance
  • Create and monitor store targets as well as individual employee performance
  • Creating lasting relationships with our customers based on your commitment to providing a great service
  • Maintaining stock through our POS and Microsoft Office systems
  • Providing both design and technical advice on textiles and product specifications
  • Making sure every customer feels welcome, understood and able to share their unique style
  • General shop maintenance including updating merchandise displays and housekeeping
  • Being motivated to keep up with the latest design trends in the interiors industry to be able to offer your customers the latest style advice
