TSG is looking for a Security Systems Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team to work on projects/BAU across the Tasman.
 
The Person

As a member of the IT Infrastructure Team, your passion for security will be utilised to maintain and enhance the security posture of our applications and systems. Experience maintaining vulnerability management, monitoring and responding to security related alerts is critical for this role. You’ll have broad experience in security technologies such as Firewalls, AV, encryption and Web applications, and will have experience monitoring alerts, investigating and responding to security incidents.

The Role

The primary core objectives and skills required include:Security incident and request Management - Proven track record in security incident response and problem management
  • Wide ranging technical skills (Windows Server / Networking / Public and Private Cloud)
  • Good knowledge of Firewall, Routing, Switching, Remote access, Load balancing etc
  • Active Directory with Group Policy, Domain Architecture, Application Level Security
  • Microsoft Workstation & Server operating systems, configuration & security
  • Knowledge of scripting & querying technologies such as PowerShell
  • Border controls such as email content and filtering/proxy access
  • Ownership of Vulnerability management
  • Work closely with the Security management team to investigate and eliminate threats
  • Endpoint policy management
  • Security Benchmark implementation
  • Knowledge of information security best practices and guidelines
  • Cert management
  • Linux experience
  • Monthly Reporting
  • Participating in a 24/7 after hours on-call roster for P1s
  • Great documentation skills
  • Security-Focused Industry Certifications (Advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
