Overview

Debitsuccess is looking for an experienced UX designer to join our team on Auckland’s North Shore. We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and collaborator with a UX design background and is highly skilled with relevant tools and techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global organisation that is in an unprecedented growth phase.
 
The Person

Working on projects for our global customers, you will be responsible for assessing, researching and building Customer personas and customer journey maps highlighting pain points and gaps within the Debitsuccess product vs the competition or market trends. You will also be supporting our Scrum Development Teams as well as working closely with relevant stakeholders and other business units.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Promote user-centred design principles and be the voice of the customer for design within the Scrum Teams
  • Identify user problems and issues through research and hands on user testing
  • Work with the team to understand the interactions and user experience needed for client facing UI products. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of the end users and present findings and recommendations to the Product Team and the Development Teams
  • Produce user personas, customer journeys maps, IA models, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and mock-ups to explore and develop potential solutions
  • Work closely with the UX Lead on continuous optimisation of the company UX/design language and interaction paradigm
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with the Product Team
  • Plan and run design workshops and user testing sessions
  • Ability to paper prototype, sketching within the ideation process to communicate fulfilment of business/user goals within a UI to initiate co-creation streams
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, wireframes and mock ups
  • Follow, maintain and improve product guidelines
  • Provide UX support to the Scrum teams
  • Keep on top of latest UI trends for native mobile and web
Key skills required to be successful in this role include:
  • A solid understanding of design tools and technologies: sketch, photoshop, HTML/CSS and wireframe sharing tools
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with and influence a number of stakeholders to ensure that the best user experience and designs get developed within the delivery timeframe that is available
  • Advanced skill level in user interface design and user experience design
  • Attention to detail
  • Collaborative Team Player ethic
