The Role:
Due to recent growth, Exact Contracting are looking for an experienced Project Supervisor for a Civil/Bulk Earthworks Project at Olympic Dam Mine. 
  
This role will be site based and the successful candidate is expected to work on a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO), 14 days on, 7 days off roster from Adelaide, SA. Drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) options are available with travel allowances.
  
Often working outdoors in hot, dry and dusty conditions, you will be working closely with the Senior Management Team and reporting to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring project activities are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
  • Effectively managing resources to ensure achievement of production schedules;
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements;
  • Driving operational efficiencies;
  • Provides effective leadership and supervision through ‘on the ground’ presence, direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals;
  • Inspires and encourages others towards goal achievement;
  • Periodically assesses employee performance by conducting scheduled appraisals in accordance with performance objectives and prepares corrective and development plans as necessary;
  • Resolves problems and conflict arising within the crew;
  • Providing timely and accurate information to meet management and Client requirements;
  • Maintaining and adhering to the scheduling of project activities;
  • Ensuring all contractual and KPI reporting is provided to management and the Client;
  • Working closely with the Project Management Team to ensure project activities are completed safely, within budget, and in a timely manner.
The successful applicant will have:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Management (or equivalent experience/qualification);
  • 3+ years of experience in supervisory/management role within the mining and/or civil industry;
  • Demonstrated understanding of mining and/or civil plant and equipment operations and maintenance;
  • Experience with and confident using Microsoft Office and maintenance related systems (MEX) etc;
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings;
  • Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation;
  • Confident communicator with the ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors;
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
  • Desire to work in remote locations; and
  • Have a hands on approach.

Pre-Employment:
All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance (within 3 months), pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.

As our Projects are often in remote and regional Australia, you will be required to work on sites which are often hot, dry, dusty and/or humid.
