The Role:
This role will be site based and the successful candidate is expected to work on a fly in/fly out (FIFO) or drive-in/drive-out (DIDO), 14 days on, 7 days off roster. This opportunity will be based at Carrapateena Mine, SA.

This is an exciting hands on opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager and National Safety, Training & Quality Manager, this is a hands on operational role.

  • Ensure each employee is suitably trained and competent to operate or undertake a task safely and productively;
  • Ensure all project personnel are deemed compliant as per Exact Contracting and client requirements;
  • Ensure compliance with any legal duty or obligation, and any client/site specific policies and procedures relative to training;
  • Ensure the site training matrix is maintained and compliant;
  • Facilitate training activities and liaise with site personnel regarding training requirements;
  • Undertake and coordinate training activities with new and existing employees;
  • Deliver quality training and assessment that is compliant with company, client and AQTF/RTO standards;
  • Undertake regular training gap analysis to forecast site training requirements;
  • Ensure records are maintained and compliant in line with WHS legislation.
To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate your ability and aptitude in the following key criteria:  
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 upgrade) 
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position within the mining, civil or construction industry
  • A minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy earth moving machinery;
  • Experience developing training programs
  • Client relations
  • Excellent verbal & non-verbal communication skills and work well within a team environment

Pre-Employment:
All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance (within 3 months), pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.

As our Projects are often in remote and regional Australia, you will be required to work on sites which are often hot, dry, dusty and/or humid.
