About the Company:
Our client is a highly reputable, freight forwarder that provides logistics services (international and domestic) for Australian Importers.  They pride themselves on their exceptional customer service, delivering a top priority service and transport options to their clients. 

About the Role:
The role of Import Freight Operator will see you working within a fast paced environment.  Your focus will be to provide the highest standard of customer support to our clients.  We are looking for a person who has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.  Knowledge of all processes associated with the import processing of Seafreight shipments is a must.  You will be responsible for the organisation, processing and reporting of imports and delivery of goods to your clients final destination. Some Airfeight experience will also be well regarded.
Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Scheduling of shipments with both local and overseas agents
  • Processing and reporting of import sea consignments
  • Registering of jobs in Cyberfreight for sea and airfreight
  • Monitoring of shipments in regards to departure dates, transhipment and arrival dates
  • Liaising with Customs Brokers
  • Coordinate and plan cargo deliveries, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Monitor end to end processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Tracking of orders and following up with agents
  • Sourcing of transport options
  • Adhere to quality and safety procedures
To be considered for this role you must have the below criteria:
  • Proficient in Cyberfreight or similar.
  • Administration tasks associated with import shipments
  • Demonstrated knowledge in International Sea Freight
  • Basic knowledge of the domestic transport industry- cartage
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Excellent written oral and communication skills.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office 
  • 1 - 2 years experience in a similar role.
