Your new role

Play a key coordination role within the faculty office working closely with the Dean Teaching & Learning and Academic Course and Unit Coordinators across our three schools. Your key responsibilities will be to manage the teaching support activities within the faculty to deliver effective support to academics in the delivery of courses.  Provide high level client service to both Academics and Students regarding Teaching and Learning and accreditation compliance in a highly regulated environment and discipline. You will:
  • Assist to facilitate and implement course analysis review and renewal - CARR
  • Ensure that all teaching administration documentation is up to date
  • Analyse, create and implement process changes in line with business requirements, strategic objectives and policy changes
  • Present and Participate in regular ‘community of practice’ forums with other TSCs and convene regular meetings with school TSC’s/TSOs
  • Innovate and lead best practice, working collaboratively with Faculty of Humanities learning and teaching team
  • Maintain casual staff contracts and payroll  
You will bring to the role   
  • Completion of a relevant degree and relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills for engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including academics, students and other Curtin Staff
  • The ability to provide guidance and training to others and support the creation and maintenance of consistent and customer focussed service delivery
  • High level written communication skills, with the ability to prepare effective procedural/training documentation and reports
  • A demonstrated understanding of courses management and accreditation
  • Proven ability to use technology as a communication tool and demonstrated competence in using Microsoft Office applications as well as a large customer relationship management system/database
