The Role
The newly created National Practice Manager role was created to ensure the smooth operation of the Practice, nationally. Reporting to the COO and the CEO, the National Practice Manager will ensure the operational day-to-day functions of the firm run smoothly in order that client service is delivered to a high standard. You will have a small team of administration and client liaison team members reporting to you. There will be ad hoc project involvement in key projects as the firm grows and evolves. Some of the key areas of responsibilities will include:
  • Human resource (onboarding, coordinating training and development)
  • Finance (assist with debtor management, cashflow reporting and settlement updates and audits)
  • Operational management (ensure compliance with workflows, file reviews, KPI management)
  • Ensuring all key deliverables of the firm are achieved through cohesive operational practices
  • Administration and project management (manage any ad hoc operational projects that arise, reporting, capacity/roster management)

The Person
We are seeking a Senior level office manager or practice manager, preferably from a Personal Injury background with a demonstrated track record in in leadership and hands on operational management. Some of the criteria we have are:
  • Demonstrated experience (essential) in managing a medium size office – preferably in personal injury
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business management or similar is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong resilience and emotional intelligence
  • Tech savvy
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
To be successful in this role, you will need to have superior interpersonal skills to guide and mentor people, and identify opportunities for improvements.
