The Company

Our client is a leading and highly regarded compensation law practice situated in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Established over 15 years, they provide excellence in the provision of legal services to their varied base of clients. They employ over 20 staff in NSW and interstate and are propelling their business into their next growth phase with the objective of further expansion across NSW and interstate.

The Position

Reporting directly to the CEO and General Manager, this is a varied and busy role. You will work closely with senior managers and stakeholders to complete a variety of administration tasks and general running of the office.
Specifically, your duties will include:
  • Administration/Practice Support – diary management, maintaining manuals and procedures, events management, travel arrangements for all staff
  • Meeting preparations – prepare minutes, agendas, arranging client file reviews, arranging solicitor’s and other internal/external stakeholder meetings. Ensure completion of legal settlements
  • Human Resources - Assist with the recruitment of new staff, new starter induction and training. Learning and development for staff Management of leave requests.
  • Events Management/ Staff Incentives – arrange social events and incentive schemes
  • Marketing and finance assistance
  • Contact point for external stakeholders including external IT provider, contact point for building maintenance enquiries
  • Office maintenance – filing, scanning, office equipment, data base maintenance
  • Reception relief and answering calls when required
  • Other duties as required
Skills and Experience

We are seeking mature minded, enthusiastic and passionate candidates who possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Have had 5 years’ experience as an PA, EA or Office manager
  • Educational qualifications – Certificate 4 in Business Administration or legal secretary experience
  • Although not essential, industry knowledge in personal injury will be looked upon favorably
  • Possess a high degree of business acumen, commercially astute and be able to think outside the square
  • Be a multi tasker possessing highly developed time management skills and be able to “get things done”
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS office. Filepro knowledge will be looked upon favorably
  • You will also be a person who can think on their feet, possess a pro active and positive attitude
