Our client offers a wide range of testing capabilities to support New Zealand manufacturers.  Their current team of chemists are committed to providing their customers with accurate results in a timely manner.  They now require a Lab Manager to coordinate team activities.

Reporting into Australia, you will take responsibility for the management of the Auckland Laboratory, working with and mentoring a friendly team of analysts.  You will also have the opportunity to be the ‘go to’ person for New Zealand customers and be able to use and grow your business development skills to expand existing customers and look for potential new business.

What you offer:
  • A commitment to developing and mentoring staff
  • Ability to build and maintain an excellent team culture
  • A minimum of BSc (Chemistry) and 5 plus years of analytical chemistry experience, formulation experience is an advantage
  • Previous lab supervision experience
  • Previous experience or a desire to develop and grow into a customer facing role
  • A significant understanding of operating costs and ability to prioritise in the best interests of the business
  • Focus on a high level of compliance to ensure accreditations are maintained
  • Ability to ensure the lab is a safe and environmentally friendly place to work
  • Demonstrated expertise and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Able to make decisions in a timely manner and take responsibility for outcomes
