We are looking for an experienced professional, with the right attitude, to fill the role of Manager in our Corporate Advisory Team. We specialise in providing outsourced financial and company secretarial support services to small ASX listed companies, SME’s and not-for-profit organisations.  We are looking for a dynamic person to lead the team looking after our listed entities, providing outsourced CFO and company secretarial support services.  In this role you will be a key contact point between the firm and clients and will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of client engagements.  The person in this role will also be responsible for the development and mentoring of team members and will play an active role in assisting the Directors in managing the Corporate Services Division.
  
Responsibilities
  • Prepare or review of general purposes financial statements and supporting work papers
  • Prepare accounting position papers on client specific transactions (i.e. share-based payments or convertible notes)
  • Manage the external audit process for clients
  • Review of period end (month, quarter, half year and annual) accounting journals
  • Prepare or review monthly management accounts, including commentary on key movements and variances to budget
  • Prepare or review quarterly cash flow reports (Appendix 4C/ 5B) for ASX lodgement
  • Prepare or assist with the preparation of corporate documents and reports
  • Review of work performed by team members and provide guidance and training where required
  • Manage team productivity and engagement profitability
  • Ensure client timetables for deliverables are managed and met
  • Identify both potential issues and opportunities in day-to-day work and raise these with clients and/ or Directors.
  
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills, attributes and experience:
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Previous experience in preparing General Purpose Financial Reports (GPFRs)
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a collaborative attitude
  • Highly engaged self-starter with an ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
  • Previous experience or exposure to company secretarial work will be beneficial, but is not essential
  • Relevant degree and CA or CPA qualified
  • 5+ years of relevant post qualification experience.
