We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our modular operations, based out of High Wycombe.

We work with government departments, owners, architects and engineers to design and build custom buildings across a broad range of industries. As a turnkey construction company, we provide pre-construction assistance, project schedule development as well as construction management services.
About the role
The Estimator is responsible for assisting with tender/bid preparation by providing cost estimates. This role will suit a candidate who is highly driven and results-focused. 
About the Role:  
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Review and interpret in-depth tender documentation to accurately price building packages
  • Understand project-specific client requirements, identifying cost implications for compliance
  • Prepare RFQ documentation for submission to Subcontractors / Suppliers inclusive of any tender addendums or clarification notices and analysis of quotations    
  • Proactively undertake subcontractor interviews to mitigate scope gap/creep risk on estimates
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications, and prepare an estimate
  • Liaise with the relevant project stakeholders (internally and externally - including architects, engineers, builders, contractors, project managers, suppliers) to clarify project requirements and source pricing information
  • Assess the cost implications of Variation changes to product design/specification or project delivery
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or comparable relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with traditional commercial construction methodologies – modular building experience desirable
  • Competency with Building Codes of Australia and Australian Standards
  • Experience with CostX highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to switch between jobs, work to a deadline
  • Advanced computing skills and proficiency in estimating software packages
