Our client, a successful family owned steel fabrication and manufacturing business, is looking for a Senior Administrator to join their team.
The role is to provide key support to the General Manager in the management of the clients and be responsible for many of the administrative functions.  The successful applicant will be involved in every aspect of the business.
We are seeking a highly effective individual who can be given small projects (defined tasks with a duration anywhere from a day to two weeks) and who can also be relied on to do a combination of regular everyday tasks. It’s more a generalist, someone who can put their hand to many different things and succeed. The role will evolve over time, as the company grows.
In this position duties will include, but not limited to:  
  • Support and reflect the General Manager in their stated priorities
  • Management of established processes throughout the business
  • Management and distribution of sales inquiries
  • Liaising with external & internal parties for file retrieval
  • Support for office administration to achieve deadline
  • Answering & forwarding of incoming telephone calls
  • Maintaining the reception area and meeting rooms
  • Logging incoming/outgoing items like samples and mail.
  • Arranging courier deliveries local and international
  • Including the retrieval, movement, destruction of files
  • Archiving and document preparation
  • Scanning and uploading of files
  • High level data entry into spreadsheets (excel) and quality assurance checking
  • Answering & forwarding of incoming telephone calls
  • Across every process on the company and can fill in if need be.
Skills/attributes we’re seeking: 
  • Mid-Level to advanced Microsoft Excel & Word capabilities
  • Previous records management experience is essential
  • Professional approach towards work
  • Able to put their hand to many different things
  • Highly structure and organised
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a small team
  • Go-getter attitude and flexible in approach
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Good basic understanding of offshore logistics and freight
  • Ability to work with changing priorities.
  • Mandarin languages skills will be an asset, highly desirable.
